Great show overall
I was kicking myself for missing the last time 49 Winchester played there, so I was so glad I got the chance to see the Hershey show. The experience was both great and convenient, as the venue is small but intimate. They delivered both the new and old stuff well, and the new album is awesome. They left some of my favorite songs off the playlist, and I wish they would have played longer. I guess they had to make room to play the newer songs. The opening band was a bit too raunchy and rough for my liking with a hard punk genre that seemed far apart from the current 49 Winchester sound. I could only speculate that they were looking to give back by helping a young local band with their original similar punk sound gain some exposure. Nonetheless, I can cross off seeing them as a headliner from my bucket list (saw them open for Train earlier this year - another great show!), but can't wait to see them again, especially if they come to Hershey!
